More Republicans Headed for State Legislature (Nov 06, 2012)
Unofficial election results show Republicans will increase their record majority in the Senate. Senate District 3, in a longtime Democratic Party stronghold in southeast Oklahoma, is going to the GOP. Republican Wayne Shaw defeated Democrat Jim Bynum by nearly 9 percentage points. Another GOP pick up came in Senate District 7, another historically Democratic seat. Republican Larry Boggs defeated Democrat J. Paul Lane by nearly 8 points.
