OSU President Calls for Investigation (Dec 13, 2012)

STILLWATER, Okla. (AP) - Oklahoma State University President Burns Hargis is calling for a task force to review the university's handling of recent sexual assaults on campus.

OSU student Nathan Michael Cochran faces three counts of sexual battery against fellow students. Cochran has pleaded not guilty. OSU says it has suspended him.

Hargis said in a statement Thursday that he wants a comprehensive investigation into how the allegations were handled and asked Board of Regents Chairman Andy Lester to expand the work of a task force created this summer. That task force was created to review the policies, practices and procedures related to sexual misconduct in the aftermath of sexual misconduct allegations at Penn State and the later conviction of a former Penn State football coach on the charges.
