Norman Police Capture Escaped Inmates (Feb 11, 2013)

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Norman police say a McClain County Jail inmate who escaped and prompted a school lockdown has been recaptured.

A patrol officer spotted 28-year-old Taylor Brotherton at about 3:30 p.m. With help from detectives, Brotherton was taken into custody.

Brotherton and another man had walked away from a work detail.

McClain County Undersheriff Bill Schobe says 21-year-old Chase Clemons was back in custody after a morning traffic stop.

As a precaution, some schools in Norman were on lockdown for a time Monday while Brotherton was loose.

Both men were from Oklahoma City and jailed for drug possession.
