Norman Police Capture Escaped Inmates (Feb 11, 2013) NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - Norman police say a McClain County Jail inmate who escaped and prompted a school lockdown has been recaptured. A patrol officer spotted 28-year-old Taylor Brotherton at about 3:30 p.m. With help from detectives, Brotherton was taken into custody. Brotherton and another man had walked away from a work detail. McClain County Undersheriff Bill Schobe says 21-year-old Chase Clemons was back in custody after a morning traffic stop. As a precaution, some schools in Norman were on lockdown for a time Monday while Brotherton was loose. Both men were from Oklahoma City and jailed for drug possession. « back |
